Q. Thoughts on final round under par second round?
RICHARD STERNE: Yeah, pretty happy. A bit of a slow start. Didn't really have much going, and then a decent finish on back nine so that helps a lot.
Q. How key was patience to getting through that slow start to put together a decent round?
RICHARD STERNE: It's pretty sometimes because you feel like the guys are scoring. I tried to just keep giving myself chances and fortunately made a few decent putts. Nothing too long, but made the ones I should have made on the back nine and that really helps.
Q. What is the key to scoring around here?
RICHARD STERNE: Yeah, I mean, the par 5s are something you've got to take advantage of. They are mostly reachable except 18 today for myself, which I fortunately played pretty well this week. Then just try and hang in there on a couple of the tough holes.
Q. The course itself is in immaculate condition, and the way that it's playing, the scores.
RICHARD STERNE: I don't think I've ever seen a golf course like this. I think the fairways are probably the best I've ever seen, and congrats to the whole team for doing that. Abu Dhabi is a special place to play, and the weather has been great. That's probably why the scoring is so low with a lot of guys under par and the wind has been down. It gives good scoring conditions.
Q. Just how comfortable are you on the course and how much does it suit your game?
RICHARD STERNE: It's only the second time I've played here. So I don't really know the course all that well, but I did enjoy it when I was here last time. I think I missed the cut by one or so but I did enjoy the place.
And I'm looking forward to this week and the weekend, what's coming up. So far, I feel comfortable and hopefully I can do a couple of good things.
