MAYBANK CHAMPIONSHIP

November 2, 2025

Mirabel Ting

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Just talk us through your round.

MIRABEL TING: Yeah, I mean, I enjoyed my round today. Even I'm not playing my best, but I was hitting my irons a lot better today. Just putts didn't really drop.

So, yeah, just another day of golf. Sometimes you just have a bad day and sometimes you have a good day.

Q. First event as a professional. What's it like playing as a professional in front of Malaysian fans? There was a lot of support for you.

MIRABEL TING: Yeah, there is a lot of support definitely, but like I said before, to me, amateur golf or professional golf doesn't really matter. Definitely there is a lot of expectations and trying to do well, but overall it's still the same because I'm still hitting the ball. I'm still playing the golf course.

So it doesn't really change that much. Just my status changed and that's all. I really enjoy it.

Q. From a ball striking point of view, I think what positives can you take from this event? You feel that you have the game to take on the LPGA Tour next year?

MIRABEL TING: Yeah, just it's actually pretty basic. Probably just work on my aiming and I will hit it a lot better, which I did today. I hit it a lot better but putts didn't drop. Yeah, this week is all about taking things in perspective and get ready for Q-Series, just do my best there.

Q. So what went right and what went wrong?

MIRABEL TING: I would say my iron was pretty decent but not at the best yet because I'm not used to aiming where I'm supposed to aim.

You know, a lot of positive on my putting actually. I've been putting well all week. You know, I'm just -- I've been putting it well all week means putting actually a good stroke and having to stop the ball online, but the ball didn't drop, and that's the best I can do.

Q. What's next for you?

MIRABEL TING: Well, I have Q-Series coming up and then probably some offseason training with my coach.

Q. The final stage is in November. Will be doing any kind of...

MIRABEL TING: Yeah, I think I'm going fly down to Bangkok again, probably a week before I fly off to the states, just have a look and check in with him, see and do some on-course training.

Q. Q-Series, what are you most looking forward to in 2026?

MIRABEL TING: Definitely getting my LPGA card. Yeah, and, you know, I just want to have a fun 2026 and then just be out there and keep playing and playing and playing.

Q. So let's just say you do get your card. How many events will you be playing?

MIRABEL TING: Well, I'm not sure actually. I don't have an answer to that. But if I could, I would like to get probably 16 to 18 events in in a year and probably more than that for rookie next year.
