Q. Justin, there were moments in the night where it looked like you were going to repeat for a championship. Where did the night get away from you?

JUSTIN ALLGAIER: I don't know. That last pit stop there, we lost a little bit of track position. That last set of tires was really, really loose. I think that's the hardest part, we made a really good adjustment in the first pit stop.

I wanted to send Jim Pohlman off with another championship. He's been an amazing part of this journey, got me my championship last year. Just felt like we did all the right things tonight and we still came out of here really short.

Disappointing. Disappointed to see Xfinity go. They've been a great partner for our sport for a long time. We were at fast as Xfinity Mobile in the middle of race, not when we needed to be. Hats off to the 2 team. Danny and his whole team were great. Connor obviously had a fantastic year.

Bummed of the way it ended. Still blessed to do this, be here. I couldn't ask for a better team. We'll move on and go to Daytona in the beginning of the year. Seems weird this is the last one. We'll make the most of the off-season.

Q. Your crew chief moving up to the Cup Series. How has he made you a better driver?

JUSTIN ALLGAIER: It's understated. He's developed me into a better person, better human being. Just the prep work and how I see these races before they ever even start. It's a really important piece of this.

I think mentally when you're in the game and you're prepared, you have all the tools you need. He's been able to give me those tools.

I told him earlier in the truck, I said, I'm most proud of you because you've proven to the world what you're capable of. It's given you the opportunity to go do what you're going to do. I'm sure they're going to make the most of it.
