THE MODERATOR: We'll start with questions for Team Italy.

Q. What was it like to be in the middle of a match like this with so many match points, crucial moments? At the end was it excitement or relief? What did it feel like?

FLAVIO COBOLLI: At the end I was happy. I didn't know about the match point. I asked to the team, What's the score in the tiebreak, because I didn't know. I didn't remember.

I was really happy about this match. Great roller coaster, but at the end I was happy about my match, what I did in the match.

I think I had a great attitude for all the match. Now I'm a little bit tired, but I'm ready to recovery for the next days.

Q. Flavio, do you think you win that match if it's not played here but on the ATP Tour?

FLAVIO COBOLLI: This is a great question. But now we are not in the ATP Tour. We are in Davis Cup (smiling).

I won this match because, like Filippo said, because I wanted to win. I believe on myself for three hours today. At the end was a great, great tie.

Q. Filippo, how many heart attacks did you have during that match? On the outside you looked reasonably calm. I'm sure not.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: The psychologist of the team made a good job because he asked us stop counting from the second half on the third set (smiling).

I mean, this match, I try to get an answer for the question before, I think this match you only have in Davis Cup. We saw two great players fight for their country. They made both an unbelievable job. Only one had to win. In the end we did it.

That's what I said to Flavio. I told him that he wanted more than the opponent. I don't know if was true or not.

Yeah, in the end this is something unbelievable. I'm really proud about Flavio, proud of course of Matteo, but all the team. The crowd made different in the end. We had like 10,500 pushing ourself through the limit because I think we passed the limit. It's been a great match. As Flavio said, time to recover.

Q. Matteo earlier talked about the relationship that he has with you, known you a long time. How special is it for you two to be the singles guys for Italy, winning this tournament with him?

FLAVIO COBOLLI: First of all, all the guys of the team are special for me. We are a great team, very solid. We are try to work for each other during the days.

But Matteo is special for me because it's like a brother. He worked with my dad when he was young, so I know him since when I was young. I start to play tennis with his matches. Yeah, he's very important for me.

Today he did, you know, he helped me a lot during the match, like the brotherhood.

Q. Filippo, at this point we don't know if it's Spain or Germany in the Final. Can you talk about both teams.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: Yeah. Two different teams. Starting from the doubles, they have couple of specialists, mixed one. Spain has one doubles specialist in Pedro Martinez. Yeah, different rankings for the singles, too.

I thought that Czech could beat Spain, then Spain won. Yesterday before the match of Germany, we're supposed to have Germany easy. In the end they saved five match points.

Yeah, it's tough for everybody, especially for us that we have to play a Finals, and in the Finals teams, power rankings, really doesn't count, especially in Davis Cup.

But yeah, this week I always wanted to start from ourself. We saw a lot of numbers, a lot of data. But this week I always start with the guys starting from ourself.

We are strong. We have a good feeling. We have a great relationship. We push through each other. We help each other. Great respect for both of the teams. But we are a strong one.

Q. It's the first time that a nation has reached the Final three years in a row since Australia. If you win, it will be the first time that a nation has won it three years in a row or more.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: That's got the table on top.

Q. Since the United States in 1972. What would it mean to win it again?

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: Yeah, we are not looking on that.

What I said before is we are not trying to win the third Davis Cup in a row. We try to win the Davis Cup for 2025. It means that what we did we did. Now we are looking forward for something else.

It's your job count the numbers, data. We are here to try to win Davis Cup of 2025. Said that, yeah, Darren Cahill just wrote me. He knows about the Davis Cup. I'm happy that he wrote me.

But still we have a Final. We just have to try to prepare the Finals in the best way we can. But yeah, we are not looking for the third one, we are looking for the one of 2025.

Q. Flavio, tell me about the celebration. I know you are a Novak fan. If you can explain to us what does it mean.

FLAVIO COBOLLI: No, the celebration was about Flavio, not about Nole. Yeah, he's my favorite player. But today I felt that I was trying to be like Hulk. At the end I'm doing gym every day.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: He's happy about...

FLAVIO COBOLLI: I'm the shape, so... Just show, yeah.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: He walk from the locker with the T-shirt high.

FLAVIO COBOLLI: Look into the mirror.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: He wants to show us he works out in the gym. (Smiling).

FLAVIO COBOLLI: But it's the last time (smiling).
