THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Have you been up to much tonight?

TIM PUETZ: Sorry to keep you here so long.

Q. Talk about what it was like to play that match, especially the final set.

TIM PUETZ: Pretty nice to be part of a match like that. Obviously easy to say now that we won.

No, what a great Davis Cup tie. What a great atmosphere, especially considering we were in kind of a neutral country.

Yeah, I don't know what to say. Could have gone either way obviously. Just so happy that it's us sitting here as winners now.

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: Same as Puetzy said. I mean, in the end you get a little bit lucky. In doubles, yeah, it is what it is. As Puetzy said, very happy and proud to be in the semifinals now.

Q. What was it like for you sitting courtside three matches?

CAPTAIN MICHAEL KOHLMANN: Closing it out, it was like in the end I had the feeling we play until 20 maybe. But it was like a roller coaster.

I thought first match actually should have gone the first set at least our way. We were up 3-1, 40-15. Had a big chance for a double break up. All of a sudden we were down. We lost the first set in the breaker.

Second set I thought Argentina was a little bit better. But Jan-Lennard kept himself in the match. All of a sudden had a set point. I thought a big chance. Didn't really go for the shot. We were down.

I thought Sascha came out on fire. He started really impressive I thought. His service was running really well. That helped him get into the second set, into the breaker. In the beginning he was playing also from the baseline. I thought he was the better player. All of a sudden Francisco picked up his game. I thought he took some more risks at a couple stages.

It could have gone either way. The rally at 1-0, the exhausting rally, if it's going for Argentina, it might be a third set. I thought it was a high-level singles. Luckily we went through there and came up with this doubles then.

Yeah, in Davis Cup I always say every doubles is 50/50. In the end a lot of times these guys next to me are winning. I think that's a big, big plus in our hands that we have a team who is playing on the tour together, who knows themselves pretty well, who can go through tough times.

The beginning was quite tough. The Argentinian guys played really, really strong. They served well the whole match. But yeah, they keep fighting, keep getting chances. In the end, like they said, we were a little bit more lucky to get the W.

Q. I guess it's difficult to remember eight match points. Is there one in particular you think they missed or one that you were missing before? Which were the biggest chances for one team and the other?

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: Yeah, of course we remember some points here and there. Maybe not every eight match points. In my mind is one on 6-3, I returned second serve pretty okay, then he played a short, short volley. There was one match point for us. Second one was on 6-5, Puetzy was one centimeter too short maybe, short to the line, was out.

Of course, match point down, I was returning. Was also, yeah, I don't know, one tricky point here and there. Of course, Michael said already in the end you get a little bit lucky here and there, yeah.

Q. You have a big responsibility because in your team there is Zverev who is the favorite in any match he plays in singles. It means you always have to play the decisive rubber. Is that psychologically a problem, more pressure? Everyone expects if you win the Davis Cup, it's thanks to you, too.

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: I think in general we are now with our strongest team here. We have also Struffy, Hanfmann. Davis Cup is different than on tour. On paper maybe they are not favorites.

Struffy, very good Davis Cup results. Hanfmann as well. They can beat everybody, of course. Sascha is always the favorite now. I mean, I think we are ready for it. It's also nice if you're playing on 1-All. It's our chance to win another match. I think we didn't feel so much pressure. That's more a chance I see it.

Q. (No microphone.)

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: In the past we played a lot on 1-All. We kind of handle it somehow good. Let's hope for the next one, focus not next one. You never know how it's going to be, the singles.

Q. A day to rest, then Spain. What are your thoughts going into that one?

CAPTAIN MICHAEL KOHLMANN: Yeah, they had a tough win, as well. I think Spain and Czech Republic, that was also like a 50/50 match. Both close matches were scheduled on one day. It's how it is sometimes. That's why we are sitting still here at 1:00.

Yeah, I mean, Spain, our record is pretty bad against Spain in Davis Cup. I remember one time we won, I think 2013. 2018 we lost in Spain.

They have a tough team, even though they lost Carlos on Monday. I think Munar had a great year. He showed today why he's a really good number one. Pablo Carreno Busta, Pedro Martinez, they are tough guys. Fought through the qualifier against Denmark. They are experienced. They know how to win close matches. Granollers, he won two Grand Slams.

I expect a really tough tie like today. Hopefully we sit here again and have two points on our hands.
