Quick Quotes
Q. But got back into it.
ANTHONY KIM: Yeah, I did nothing. I've been practicing. Hit a few good wedge shots, missed a few makable putts. Pretty disappointed with today. Go out there tomorrow and have a chance if I shoot a low one. So looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. What sort of score do you think it will take tomorrow to win?
ANTHONY KIM: I don't know. There seems to be a few low ones every day, and hopefully I'll be one of them.
Q. What was the main issue today, do you think?
ANTHONY KIM: I've been working on my setup the last two years, and it started to feel comfortable on the golf course. I just didn't know where I was aimed, and that's pretty hard to overcome when you're playing in the desert. So I had to lay back more than I usually would.
But got it around and looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. Is that why you had the alignment sticks down on the driving range earlier?
ANTHONY KIM: Yeah, since I've been back playing golf, my feet have been right -- my shoulders have been right; my feet have been further right. I'm just trying to see my target before I hit the shot, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that today.
Q. Do you have a swing coach?
ANTHONY KIM: I do.
Q. Could you say who that is?
ANTHONY KIM: Yeah, Matt Killen.
Q. Is he helping you with the setup of the golf clubs and stuff like that as well?
ANTHONY KIM: Yeah, I've had a few people help me with the setup of golf clubs, but really not working too much on my golf swing, just working on my setup. If I can get that squared away, I know I can hit a lot of good shots.
Q. You looked really disappointed with 2-under par, 69. Is that a sign of how well you're progressing?
ANTHONY KIM: Yeah, I think so. I think eight months ago this would have been a 76 and probably would have lost a few shots just based on frustration, trying to hit squeeze drivers in places I shouldn't be squeezing drivers.
I know I'm getting better. Obviously I would have liked to have scored better, but I gave it everything I have today, and I'll do the same tomorrow.
