NASCAR CUP SERIES: BASS PRO SHOPS NIGHT RACE

September 13, 2025

Austin Cindric

Bristol, Tennessee

Pit Lane Interview

Q. Two results to consider tonight, the finishing order, which was important, but the main thing is Austin Cindric moves on on a night when there was a whole lot going on. Are you okay, first of all?

AUSTIN CINDRIC: Yeah, it's not ideal. I had the fire there, and definitely held a lot of smoke, but huge credit to all my guys behind the wall, over the wall, to be prepared for a situation like that and to only lose five laps.

We had a great car tonight, and definitely with the long run speed and being able to keep tires on the car, I'm not sure I would have been able to tell you that was going to be the game to start the day, but just proud of the effort, and well earned Sunday off for the 2 car.

Looking forward to hitting the Round of 12 hard. I want to keep advancing through. This team is capable of a lot.

Q. You showed us this was a really up and down night, you led laps and then the chaos ensued. How did you keep that all balanced?

AUSTIN CINDRIC: Try and keep my head above water and hold my breath when I'm under it, so moving on.

Q. What can the 2 team do in the round of 12?

AUSTIN CINDRIC: Great things, man. I believe in this team. I believe in myself. I have not been driving as well as I am now in the Cup Series. It's been a constant climb, and those around me reflect that.
