Emilia Migliaccio

Rye, New York, USA

Westchester Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. When is the last time you competed?

EMILIA MIGLIACCIO: Palmer Cup, which was in June.

Q. Since then how much golf are you playing?

EMILIA MIGLIACCIO: I've had 10 days of -- after I came back from U.S. Girls I had like 10 days of training. I mean, I've gone through spans, like before Palmer Cup I didn't play for eight days. Won three of my matches, tied the other, so I played well, but yeah, it's been very interesting. Yeah, it's weird, doesn't feel like I've taken a break or anything. It feels like I kind of picked up right where I left off.

Q. Having been in a few different USGA events in a different role, how excited are you to be competing again this week?

EMILIA MIGLIACCIO: It was so fun. My boyfriend was on the bag for the first time, and we did a great job. He really helped me a lot. I just had a blast competing. Like you kind of miss that competition feel, and I just had so much fun today.

Q. How is the course playing?

EMILIA MIGLIACCIO: It's tough. It was pretty windy for the afternoon round. I missed a lot of greens but made a lot of up-and-downs. Finally got my first birdie on the last hole, so hopefully some more birdies tomorrow, but we'll see.
