Quick Quotes
Q. Started the day seven shots behind and needed something super special to get yourself into the mix and produced an incredible round of 64. Tell us about that from your point of view.
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, it was a good day's work. Got off to a little bit of a slow start.
But yeah, the last ten holes was great. Gave myself plenty of opportunities, and it's always nice to see putts going in.
Q. What were you thinking, what were you feeling as you were seeing yourself climbing up that board and getting closer and closer to the leaders? Because some of them were faltering and they weren't getting away from you.
TYRRELL HATTON: I was trying to think of the hole I was on before the last leaderboard I had seen before 18. I might have been ten at the time, 10-under. Leader might have been Viktor at 14; saw that I was four behind.
I knew that there was opportunities at the end, if you can hit the right shots, and thankful I was able to hit it in fairly close on the last few and see the putts go in.
Q. Some of our viewers may not know the story of you visiting the tournament as a young boy dreaming about coming to play here. You won the championship in 2020 in COVID times. This time you have the opportunity to win in front of a crowd. How excited about that opportunity?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I'm excited for tomorrow. I'm sure it depends what the guys out on the golf course, how they finish their rounds. Hopefully I won't be too far behind.
And yeah, I'll go out there tomorrow and give it my best, and hopefully it will be a good day.
