Quick Quotes
Q. Eagled 18 for the second day in a row, 66, 11-under. What have you done well over the last two days to put you into the lead?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I can't remember when I chipped it and putted it as nicely as I did the last two days. That goes a long way. Iron play was not so good yesterday and started ramping up towards the end of the round. Today was better. We're getting it betterment I still have to drive it a little bit better so I can get myself more iron shots from the fairway but really happy with the way I'm scoring.
Q. You finished fifth here the last two occasions you've come to the championship. 40-under par for your last nine rounds. Is this a course you feel suits your style of play?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: It does. It's a lot about positioning. It's not necessarily teeing it up high and letting the driver go. You really have to know where the ball is going and putting yourself in good positions and with my iron game, I think when I'm hitting my irons well, I can really get into a nice stretch and give myself a lot of opportunities for birdie. I just happen to play quite nicely here as well.
Q. Excited about the possibilities over the weekend?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I'm super happy to be where I'm at and scoring-wise, it's incredible to be honest with you. I really am struggling off the tee, and I'm just trying to do whatever I can just to put it in the fairway. Trying not to hit it off=line and in the trees, and so far, it's been good, and from there I've been amazing. But I do want to play the game a little bit more stress-free.
