THE MODERATOR: Congratulations. Very efficient victory. Your thoughts.

LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I think didn't expect to win so, let's say, I don't want to say easy way, but I think in comfortable way. I think I played really a solid match from the beginning to the end, and the word "consistency" probably was the definition of this match. Feeling really proud of what I'm doing, and I think probably one of my best matches so far on this surface.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. We saw how emotional you were on the court. What was the most, I guess, frustrating part of the last weeks leading up to this when you weren't playing your best tennis? What were the conversations with your team, with your coach, how to get out of it?

LORENZO MUSETTI: I think probably the worst moments so far was in Cincinnati when I lost to Bonzi. Let's say it was three matches with Norrie, with Michelsen, and Bonzi, those seemed like the same match played three times, and I lost three times with many, many, many chances that I, you know, never, I think also never showed the courage to try, you know, to take the lead, to be brave on the court.

So that was the most, let's say, scary part that I dealed with. And of course I think also playing some matches in doubles with Lorenzo gave me the extra confidence that I needed, you know, to think that I was not, let's say, playing that bad and that I think that I needed to change a little bit my behavior on the court and my mentality on the court, to be back again.

Q. When you are going through difficult periods whether recently or in the past, are you someone, do you share with your team, do you share all of your difficulties with your team, or are you someone who can be within yourself sometimes?

LORENZO MUSETTI: Well, of course we spend so much time alone, that of course we speak to ourself most of the time, I guess, but I think everyone does it. But I think that, yeah, having this kind of relationship with my team, with my family, with my best friends that I feel that I can say everything on how I really feel. That's the most important thing, you know, being honest, I think that's how you deal with problems.

Q. Looking ahead, we don't know who you'll play, but I'd like to ask you about each of the two possible opponents, starting with Jannik. How would you describe your observations of what he's done the last couple of years and the challenge you would face in playing him?

LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, he's the best player in the world, so I guess that's the biggest challenge that we have in our sport. That's, you know, what drive me really crazy, the idea to try to break this amazing run that he's been doing.

Of course he's the best champion. He knows really well the condition here. But I think he has, you know, the thing he has to win. I think the pressure will be mostly on his side.

So I think on these kind of thing, I know that Jannik, he has a really good mindset, but I think I have to take advantage on this thing, and I think I have to be ready, you know, to try to win this match. In case it will be Sascha, Sascha is really an unpredictable player. He's having a really a tremendous season. He started to play really well also on clay, which I think gave him a lot of confidence. He won really a great match, last match against Tommy Paul, and I think will be a tough match with both. It will be honestly I think a nice match, an interesting match to watch this evening.
