US OPEN

September 4, 2025

Jannik Sinner

New York, New York, USA

Press Conference

J. SINNER/L. Musetti

6-1, 6-4, 6-2

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. You've now made the semifinals of all four slams this year. Just curious what it says about your consistency and level of play at these big events.

JANNIK SINNER: Yeah. Of course, you know, the main events of the year obviously being Grand Slams, and yeah, very happy. You know, these are very special occasions. Finding myself again in the semis of a Grand Slam, it's a great, great achievement. I'm very, very happy about that.

We try to prepare ourself always in the best possible way to be in this position. I love to go deep in a tournament and try to raise my level. You know, I feel like that since two years now and in Grand Slams, I really like playing best-of-five. I know my body a little bit better, so I'm very happy and pleased to be again in the semis.

Q. I wanted to ask a different question. After your last match against Bublik, I saw a video where you were giving a towel to a fan and another fan tried to open your bag. Just curious, as someone who is trying to be generous with their time, is it ever frustrating when people take advantage of that? Have you ever experienced something like that before?

JANNIK SINNER: No, I haven't experienced. You know, it was -- I checked straightaway if he took something, because you know, I don't have only racquets there. I have my phone. I have my wallet. I don't know.

But, you know, I feel like the security is doing great job. Especially on court, you know, there are lots of security. I believe especially the big tournaments they make amazing job to feel us safe. So even new things happen like this, they make great job. No, it's all fine.

Q. You played FAA recently and did very well against him. What are your thoughts about facing him now after that match and with the run that you're on right now?

JANNIK SINNER: Well, it's going to be completely different, because, you know, conditions here are different. He had some big wins, so big confidence boost for him.

Then we see what's going to happen. You know, I feel like everything can happen. From my point of view, I always try to look at myself, and I'm very happy to be in the semis of a Grand Slam again.

I feel like he has improved a lot. Even in one week time, you can make big adjustments, and I feel like he did that. Yes, it's going to be a very, very difficult match for both of us. So, yeah, definitely different, because Grand Slam, the energy and everything is going to be different.

It's going to be very interesting to see.
