NASCAR CUP SERIES: ENJOY ILLINOIS 300

September 7, 2025

Chase Briscoe

Madison, Illinois

Pit Lane Interview

Q. Runner-up finish. What a roller coaster of a day. What was the strength and the weakness of this team today?

CHASE BRISCOE: I would say our strength was our speed. We had a really good Bass Pro Shops Toyota. Our weakness was just the sloppiness, right? Whether it was me behind the wheel or pit road. I don't know what the left rear issue was.

Great recovery. James did an amazing job of doing something different to get us up there, would have loved to battle up there and potentially try to be everybody's favorite driver for Toyota's 200th win. I was at a tire deficit. I thought our car, for having the tire deficit and everything else, showed how good it was.

Thankful again to Coach, Toyota, Johnny, everybody at Bass Pro Shops. The thing is a dream to drive. A year ago if you would have told me I was at this point second, I would have told you you were crazy.

It's been a lot of fun.

Q. Two top two finishes. Bristol next week. What is the expectation there?

CHASE BRISCOE: I feel like we can go there and win. It's a great racetrack for me typically in the past. Was really strong for us honestly earlier this year. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

Darlington is the only track I can think of we went as a team for the second time. Bristol will be the second time we get to do that. Hopefully we can back it up.
