Q. Just think about it as being a 71 and move on?
SHANE LOWRY: Oh, yeah, it's just one of those days. I feel like I hit the ball really well obviously off the tee. Then it was just weird, I don't know, my iron play was a little poor. Then I was sloppy and I missed the green. I missed a couple early on at the start. I missed a couple of greens on the wrong side, and before you know it, you're a couple over and you're fighting.
I'm proud of the way I battled back going into the back nine. The last place you want to be is 1-under par for the tournament playing 16, 17, 18 where the trouble is waiting. So I felt like I did very well to get my round back together.
Yeah, it's kind of a what could have been round. It could have been a lot better. But that's golf. That's the way it is. Live to play another day.
Q. Like a 7-footer or 8-footer slips by for eagle on 18, but you have a hole-out on the 13th from the rough as well. You get the luck or don't you?
SHANE LOWRY: That's golf. That's the game we play. It is what it is. Yeah, I could have been better. I don't know if I could have been too much worse today, but I have a tee time tomorrow, and I'll try to shoot as low and as far as I can to give myself a little bit of a run on Sunday.
Q. This is what it's all about. There are 36 holes to go. There's got to be a low one in you this week at some point.
SHANE LOWRY: If I keep driving it the way I am, there is, yes. So yeah, fingers crossed.
