U.S. SENIOR WOMEN'S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

August 24, 2025

Maria McBride

Chula Vista, California, USA

San Diego Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Great job this week; can you walk me through what you took away from playing in the seventh U.S. Senior Women's Open?

MARIA McBRIDE: Yeah, it was great to be in contention, obviously. I didn't have a great day today. I didn't hit the ball as well off the tee. I had terrible lies in the rough all the time, so it was just hard to get some momentum, to get something going.

Obviously I made a big number on 14, but overall I'm happy with being here and being in contention has always been great.

Q. Did you notice any difficulty with the hole locations today?

MARIA McBRIDE: No, I mean, there were some pins that were a little bit tucked, but they've been tough all week. The greens are a challenge, and that's what it's been like all week.

I didn't think anything specific with it today, no.

Q. What were your emotions as you walked off the 18th?

MARIA McBRIDE: Well, disappointed, I think, because of the way I played today. Obviously if you take away the 9, it was a pretty decent round. But that obviously is into your score. It's kind of annoying to finish the way I did. But there's always next year, so we'll see what happens then.

Q. Are you looking forward to next year at Barton Hills?

MARIA McBRIDE: Yeah, I am looking forward to it, and hopefully I can keep it going and have four good rounds.
