Q. Okay, here with Grace Kim after the third round of the CPKC Women's Open. A lot of the birdies there today. Can you talk about it?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, just hit a lot of close shots into the par-3s today. Yeah, put myself in good position for tomorrow which is nice.

Birdied the 9th hole. I think I gained two shots over the whole field so that was really nice.

Yeah, with the wind changing directions today it was definitely a different golf course.

Q. Yeah. Why do you say that about No. 9? I feel like I've seen some higher scores on No. 9 this week. What in particular about that hole?

GRACE KIM: Well, it's a lot easier when you have a 9-iron compared to a 5-iron into wind.

Yeah, had downwind and hit a three-quarter 9; whereas the other day I was hitting 5-iron with into wind. Yeah, definitely a different golf course.

Q. Couple bogeys in the beginning but a lot of birdies in the last end of the stretch. Can you talk about the momentum change, what you were saying to yourself in the beginning there?

GRACE KIM: I mean, like you can see the whole leaderboard. Like it's really a hard track, so knowing that, you know people are going to make bogeys and it's easily doable out here, especially with the roughs being up and the pin positions being tucked.

Yeah, try to make the most of all the front pins and easy gettable pins today. Yeah, just really tried to stay in play when it did get tough.

Q. What about those first couple holes? I feel like you're not the only one I've seen make a couple bogeys in that first stretch.

GRACE KIM: Yeah, 2 is obviously like really tough. You're just trying to make it onto that right side of the fairway or in the rough off the tee. And then, yeah, just kind of got stuck in the thick rough and it was into wind as well. I was trying to hit hybrid out. Yeah, definitely don't want to be in the rough on that hole.

Yeah, just 3 I just can't quite get it off the tees right this week. It's still a strong par-3 because you still hitting like a 6-, 5-iron. So I don't know if it like gives an advantage to the longer players at all this week because it's still gettable with it not being too long.

Yes, it is definitely on the longer side.
