Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Megan Khang after the second round of the CPKC Women's Open. Second day today; scores look a little bit tougher out there. Could you just give us some insight to how the course is playing today?
MEGAN KHANG: You know, thankfully I kind of expected the wind to kind of pick up. Luckily enough it wasn't too bad. A lot of putts just kind of burned the edges today.
Wasn't necessarily my favorite hole on No. 9, but I told my caddie, you know, it's not the finish we wanted but we're still kind of in it.
So two more days to try to make up some ground.
Q. Adam was talking about Shaughnessy; you previously played well here. Is there something about -- do you see similarities in the courses at all?
MEGAN KHANG: Not necessarily. I mean, I think, you know, older courses fit the women's game pretty well. I think we don't necessarily have the distance the men do and we can kind of play courses the way they're meant to be played.
You know, it's in great condition and it's a challenge. Rough is thick. Fairways are prime.
But I don't know, something about, you know, playing golf I guess how it was designed back in the old days when long bombers weren't really taking over.
Q. And just between yesterday's round and today, anything you kind of worked on on the range? You had quite a bit of time between the morning and afternoon round today.
MEGAN KHANG: Funny enough, I was jamming out on the putting green because I think one of the tents by the green here is playing some pretty good country music and I'm a big fan the country music. So really stuck with the same routine. Had some fun out there.
You know, just I think the only difference was some putts didn't drop as much today. That's what the next two days are for.
Q. Have you found any coffee shops?
MEGAN KHANG: Yeah, I found some pretty good coffee shops. Terminal 3 is pretty good. It's like 15 minutes away. Did Backroad this morning. Ran into Lauren Coughlin, so that was pretty fun. And then when I got here Maja actually had the same cup.
Then you can't go wrong with Arabica. It was at Mississauga Square One Mall. I go to a lot of coffee. There was another place I went to, Peach Coffee & Co.
There was another one I went to, I can't remember the name of it right now.
