Quick Quotes
Q. What were you pleased with today?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Same again. I drove the ball great again. I was disappointed in my wedges, to be honest. I didn't hit many close. I hit the one on 17 close eventually.
But yeah, drove the ball beautifully, putting still decent, didn't hole anything special, but just tidied up when I needed to.
Q. Last year was your first one here?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, it was.
Q. You have one year of experience; it seems like without the starting strokes, right from the get-go, we've got a packed leaderboard of the best players on the TOUR this year.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, it's the top 30 guys. If half of us are playing good, then it's going to be packed at the top. It looks like the majority of guys are playing well, and it's just logjammed now a little bit. That's what you want to see. That's what you want coming into the final two rounds of the final event of the season. It's every man for himself out there now.
Q. Where were you last year?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: I was struggling with injury. I was lucky just to get on the golf course last year. I think I finished 17th last year, so trying to go better, but yeah, this week, I'm trying to win the golf tournament, trying to win the whole thing.
Q. No rain today so far; are you hoping that that stays away and this golf course firms up? Would that better fit your style?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, I don't know because the greens are still firm. The greens aren't -- you miss a fairway and you pitch it on the green, it is firm. I mean, it's still a good test. 13-under par leading I think is going to be leading by the end of the day. Still decent. The fairways have become a little bit wider because they're softer.
But if you miss them, into the greens is difficult. Obviously we hope for it to firm up a little bit, but I don't want the greens getting too firm because then it becomes carnage for me as well.
Q. Bob, your first Ryder Cup team last time. When you got your first -- when there was a first group chat for the team, how many numbers did you not know who they belonged to?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Out of the 12 players, probably eight of them.
Q. You only had four in your phone?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah. A bit different now.
