Q. All right, joined here by Leona Maguire at the CPKC Women's Open after the first round. You finished today 5-under in a tie for the lead. How are you feeling? How did your round today go? Walk us through it.

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, pretty happy about how I played. Hit a lot of nice shots today. Hit a lot of fairways, which I feel like is key out here. The rough is pretty thick.

So, yeah, I think I just (indiscernible), which was nice and a few nice putts, and I suppose holing out that bunker shot on the third hole, the par-3, that kind of got the round going.

Yeah, it was tricky in places. The wind really was up on the front nine, sort of 7, 8, 9, 10 played really tough. And then it was nice the wind dropped off a little bit.

Q. Yeah, when that type of thing happens, the wind picking up and getting tough in the middle of your round, how do you recenter yourself to finish strong?

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I mean, I think we knew going out those holes were going to play long. I didn't even -- I hit 3-wood into 7; didn't reach the green. Kind of you knew pars were really good on those holes and to stay patient, there was a chances on the way in.

So, yeah, overall happy with how patient I stayed and, yeah.

Q. Obviously this is a great event, Canada's Women's Open. A lot of fans out here, a lot of support. How do you notice that throughout the day today?

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I mean, we were on the other side of Brooke, so a lot of them were with Brooke. No, it's a great event. They do a really good job here. There is quite a lot of Irish in Toronto, so trying to get myself as high up the leaderboard as possible.

Q. Heading into the rest of the week what's your game plan? How are you planning to stay in it?

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, more of the same. I think a lot of fairways and greens. The greens are rolling really nice. These are some of the nicest greens we've putted on in quite a while. Just keep giving myself chances.
