Quick Quotes
Q. All right, we are joined by Jeeno Thitikul at the CPKC Women's Open. You had a great round today. Really lit it up on the back nine. Talk about why you think you kind of found your game on the back nine compared to the front.
JEENO THITIKUL: I think the back nine, the pin was kind of easier than the front nine as well. I mean, the front nine I don't hit that close as the back nine I did, so that's why basically I holed the putts well on the back nine.
Q. We had a lot of people talk about how windy it was out there. Do you feel like you dealt with the wind gusts at all?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think after AIG I don't think any tournaments has gusts more than AIG does, so I think it's pretty calm to me after AIG.
Q. Yesterday during your pre-tournament press conference you talked about how exciting it was going to be to see your caddie put on the green bib. Can you just share a bit about what that experience was like this morning?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah. They just talk about the green bibs yesterday, oh, is it going to be a presentation or me just go grab it at the caddie service. I mean, like my caddie and my manager have been talking since yesterday, so I think he just found out like -- he said his (indiscernible) time than the first time, so we'll see.
Q. And then this was obviously the first real tournament round you played since the becoming World No. 1. Did it feel different or just another day at work for you?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I think just like another day at work for me, and then I think will be excited and a lot of nerves out there as well being -- you know, I not going to lie saying I'm not thinking about that, but like to be honest I just told myself like you can think about it. You can be worry. You can be nerves. But like at the end of the day you got to pass this as well.
I mean, like it's just another step of my life.
Q. Jeeno, congrats on the great round.
JEENO THITIKUL: Thank you.
Q. Curious, seemed like the clubhouse leaders had a lead that no one was going to catch, and then you put together an excellent back nine. What was working on the final nine holes?
JEENO THITIKUL: Like I said earlier, I think the back nine I hit the approaching shots better than the front nine as well.
But I think I because of the pin is easier than the front nine that I played, and also I holed the putts.
Q. Obviously you're in a group with Brooke and seemed like you two were having a lot fun together. What was the conversation like between you guys? What were you chatting about?
JEENO THITIKUL: I just ask her if she ate healthy stuff and then she just say, yes I do. I also do eat dessert. I was like, okay. She said she eat salad yesterday but a couple dessert. So I said, okay. It's pretty much not related to golf like the conversation-wise.
We been with golf a long time.
Q. Obviously you guys had one of the featured groups of the day with a lot of fans following you. What was that like?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think I love being in Canada, as always. I had really good memories here when I was an amateur playing the World Junior Championship here in Canada twice.
And then all the Canadian people was nice to me. I mean, all the fans. I know they were cheering for Brooke for sure, but also they're like cheering us on, other players and other putts.
And then, yeah, it's been really good.
