Quick Quotes
THE MODERATOR: Karrie, your first round at the Senior Women's Open. Did it meet expectations?
KARRIE WEBB: It did, all the nerves and anxiousness were definitely there, and it's sort of a course where I don't know if you ever really feel comfortable on. You've got to really think your way around it as much as possible to make sure you have putts below the hole and hitting fairways is really a premium to getting anywhere near any of these pins.
Q. Did it feel like a USGA U.S. Open test?
KARRIE WEBB: It did. I think all three of us were glad to finish out on 18. Juli said to me on our 17th hole, aren't you glad we don't do this for a living anymore.
Yeah, it was definitely a test out there.
Q. Can you talk a little bit more about hole locations, greens, just knowing that that's the defense here?
KARRIE WEBB: Yeah, I think if you were -- like I was a little scratchy today. I feel like there probably wasn't one part of my game that I'm super, super happy with. But I scratched out even par, so that's never bad in a U.S. Open.
I think it's a course where if you are feeling good with your swing, I think you can attack some of these pins. There were some definitely gettable pins today, but there were some really tricky ones, too. I just happened to miss fairways when they were just tight over the bunkers and stuff like that.
I think it was a good challenge.
