Quick Quotes

SILVIA CAVALLERI:

Q. Great round today. Can you walk me through it? Did any birdies stand out to you?

SILVIA CAVALLERI: Well, I started really bad. I was 3-over after my front nine. I had a couple bad holes, especially No. 8, hitting it in the water, so I had a double there, which kind of wasn't the greatest, that hole.

But on No. 9 after a bad tee shot, I managed to save a great par, and I think that made the turnaround for the round. Then I hit the green in two on No. 10, and then from then on, hit a great shot on the next par-3, very close, probably six feet, made the putt. Had another chance with the next one and made birdie on the par-5.

Actually a steady round on the back nine, completely different from the front nine.

Q. Did the course play any different than the practice round days, or was it pretty steady?

SILVIA CAVALLERI: It was pretty steady, I would say, yes. Obviously you want to keep it on the fairway because you can get in some very bad lies out of the rough, which I had, unfortunately. But it's the same for everybody, and the greens -- the speed is the same as the practice round, so that was good.

Q. Tell me about the toughness of the greens and how you approached those.

SILVIA CAVALLERI: Well, that's really tough. You have to be on the right spot if you can, but obviously you have to be on the fairway to try to manage that, and if you are in the rough, you're just happy to hit on the green, but then you have probably some really speedy putts.

I think control of the speed is the most important. You don't want to leave yourself too many four-, five-footers for pars. That's the key.
