Q. Haotong, opening round 66 today. How do you assess your day's work?
HAOTONG LI: Yeah, very pleased, and especially just got out from those time-offs, and I felt a little bit rusty the first few holes. And just very glad and happy to finish like this.
Q. You say a little bit rusty at the beginning. Obviously there weren't many birdies on your card. How important was it, like the scrambles saves, like the one on 6 as well, to kind of keep that momentum?
HAOTONG LI: Definitely, definitely. I didn't realise because I was so nervous over the ball, over the tee shot, and just didn't commit to the ball and worry about too much cut. And just quite lucky, and the third shot was quite impressive to keep the momentum as well.
Q. Looking at your scorecard, obviously your round came to life from the 14th onwards. What did you find through that stretch of five birdies in your final six?
HAOTONG LI: Yeah, my driver is still quite off, but I just hit a lot of mini driver off the deck and put me in play. And my approach is sharp as usual, so just give me a lot of birdie opportunities.
Q. Obviously tournaments aren't won on a Thursday, but you've put yourself in a great position going into tomorrow. What's the plan for Friday and Round 2?
HAOTONG LI: Well, I think it's just like try to keep -- try to get sharp and really for a big weekend.
