Q. A round of 66 with two eagles and four birdies. What did you do particularly well today?

MATTHIAS SCHWAB: I think I took care of the par-5s with two eagles and a birdie, which is nice. And then just played solid golf, made a lot of putts, which was nice, and avoided most of the mistakes.

So overall it was a good day for me.

Q. We chatted about the year that you're having at the BMW International. You said it had been a poor year, but you were trying lots of different things. Have you found something?

MATTHIAS SCHWAB: Well, after today, it seems like it, yeah. Everything is going in the right direction. Has been for a while. I'm just not able to really show it on the course. There's a bunch of knots in my head that I have to untie.

Today was a great day, and I hope it continues that way.
