Q. Matt, thanks for joining us. The round got off to a super fast start, 4-under through 5, but ended 4-under. How does it leave you feeling?

MATT WALLACE: Patience is being tested, but it's good to practise that on not so easy a golf course. And I played nicely on the back side, I just didn't get the ball in the hole.

And it was funny how I felt like the greens slowed up when we got to 10, and obviously there's been a lot of play and everyone's gone through by then pretty much. So got a bit bumpy, but I hit good putts, and I'm happy with that. Still played well. I think I only missed two greens. So very happy.

Q. What's the biggest positive, then, you'll take from today into tomorrow and the rest of the week?

MATT WALLACE: The way I hit it compared to the end of last week. So the work that I put in at the start of this week is good and shows that I can turn it around, which is the same as what happened at the Open, really, bad Sunday at the Open, then played really well the next week.

But I'm very happy with the ball striking and the way I played today and hit many greens.
