TV Quick Quotes
Q. You start the day four strokes back, but once again you come out as the champion. We have to speak about the hole-out on 17. Talk us through what you saw from your perspective.
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I played smart off the tee. That's obviously the miss there. Part of me wanted to go at the pin, and I kind of held off there on the left side. I knew par wasn't going to be a bad score on that hole today. Anytime you hole a chip like that, it's pretty nice. It looked good when it landed, looked good when it was rolling, and it was nice to see that one go in.
Q. This is your 17th consecutive round under par on the PGA TOUR. Can you describe the kind of consistency you're experiencing at this level right now?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I think -- I mean, I think it has a lot to do with the intensity that I bring to each round. I try not to take days off. I try not to take shots off. When it gets to this time of the year it can be a little bit tiring. Today was a grind, and I think it just has a lot to do with the intensity we bring to each round and each shot.
Q. This course was a week where you didn't have your usual bag man, Ted Scott, dealing with some personal matters back at home. What do you have to say not only to him probably watching but to Michael Cromie and what a great job he did this week?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, Ted is at home with his family, and he's where he's supposed to be. We're praying for them, and his family is doing all right. Cromie did a great job this week. It's not easy stepping in and trying to fill in for Ted. Those are some big shoes to fill, but he did a great job. Him and Ted are good buddies, and I'm really thankful to have him on the bag this week. It was a lot of fun.
