Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Gina Kim after the third round of The Standard Portland Classic. 5-under 67 bogey-free. Talk about your day today?
GINA KIM: Yeah, obviously it's really nice to see a bogey-free round any time that you play. I think that's kind of one the main ultimate goals for me.
It was just solid today. Just tee to green everything was relatively in a good spot and I was able it capitalize on some really good chances.
Yeah, just solid golf overall and really excited about tomorrow.
Q. Second bogey-free round this week. What's one of the keys to avoiding bogeys out here?
GINA KIM: You know, I just think staying calm and not panicking. That was something that I have to admit I wasn't very good at last year. Just being smart and playing to my strengths. I have a really great caddie who has been helping me stay focus and disciplined in my process.
So it's been good. I've been really privileged to have a great run so far.
Q. Sitting at 12-under, tied for fourth. You won a few times on the Epson Tour this year. How much will you draw on that heading into tomorrow?
GINA KIM: Yeah, I mean, even now for the first three rounds I've drawn a lot from the Epson Tour. A lot of my confidence has come from that to be honest. I'm used to being in contention on the Epson Tour, so I think that will really help me a lot tomorrow. I look forward to it. It's not every day you get to say you're in contention for an LPGA title, so hopefully I can get it done tomorrow.
Q. Like you said, you mentioned you've been in contention here before I think a couple years ago. How nice is it to be back in contention in a familiar place?
GINA KIM: It feels amazing. Obviously I'm just grateful to have the opportunity to even play out here, and The Standard was gracious enough to give me that attitude. I'm just really happy to be here and to enjoy walking the fairways that I have really good memories of playing on.
So, yeah, hopefully I can add some more good memories to that tomorrow.
