U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

August 15, 2025

Jackson Herrington

San Francisco, California, USA

The Olympic Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Jackson, your first U.S. Amateur semifinals. How do you feel?

JACKSON HERRINGTON: I feel great. I didn't play too well today. I was pretty mad at myself for that. I felt like I kept him in in it a little too long, but I got the job done.

Q. It was a pretty pro-Abdo crowd today. Obviously you weren't the underdog in the match, but how does it feel not being rooted for?

JACKSON HERRINGTON: I didn't really care too much about it. I knew it was going to be that way coming into today. I saw what he said last night and what they said about it.

Yeah, I wanted to win just even more after seeing that. So getting the job done and getting one step closer to the Masters is pretty awesome.

Q. Tomorrow if you win into the U.S. Open and Masters. I know you want to win the whole thing, but tomorrow will get you exempt into a lot of majors. Any nerves, any pressure tonight?

JACKSON HERRINGTON: I'm going to be a little nervous. I've just got to stick to my game plan. I did that today, just a little wind gust here and there.

Just stick to the game plan, do what I've been doing, and I think I should be fine.
