Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Ash Buhai after the seconds round The Standard Portland Classic. Followed up yesterday with another solid round today. What can you say about today's round?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, I hit it good again. Very patient. Feel like I left a few out there, but at the same time, my chipping and holed a few bombs, so I feel like it kind of evened out.
Conditions, wind was a little swirling today. Just very happy with that.
Q. Yeah, and 27 putts I'm seeing. Lots of one-putts and zeroes technically recorded as well. What about the putter today?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, like yesterday I rolled it good. I think my speed has been very good this week, which has helped. I'm seeing the lines. I feel like I'm matching them. If I want to hit it firm, I pick the firm line. Kind of I think that's why I've holed some good putts.
Q. You had some great energy yesterday describing the feeling you're having right now with your game. How hard is it to get there? Can you put that into words maybe?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, it's been I would say a good six weeks, maybe two months of work getting back to where I needed to be. It's frustrating. Kind of may through July was a little rough. You know you've been there before, and it's hard work, but if you put it in you'll get back to it eventually. Obviously we want things to happen now, but I'm just glad that's slowly starting to pay off.
Q. Can you talk a little bit too about there is a lot of low scores out here as well. How do you think that helps players when they come play this event, to see some of those lower numbers maybe?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, confidence to know it's out there. The course is in such good condition. It's not the longest course, but it's demanding off the tee; you got hit the fairways; the rough is up.
With the greens being as good as they are and soft, you have a shorter club in, you can be aggressive, yeah.
