Q. Here with Haeran after the first round of The Standard Portland Classic. 6-under 66. Talk a little bit about your day today. How were things going?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, this course is my second time I played at this course, and first year I was really bad and I just play two rounds and I go to back home.

I just want to forgot the round and I just more trust my shot and putt. That's it. Today is pretty good.

Q. And then you mentioned didn't make the cut last time. Did you change anything from last time to this time to prepare for this week?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, two years ago here it's too rainy so the course is a little bit more softer than this year so it's too hard to make it to great shots for next to the hole so I don't make a lot of birdie that day.

So but this year the weather is pretty good. My shot have more distance so I play a little more easier than two years ago.

Q. Only missed one fairway and one green today.

HAERAN RYU: Yeah.

Q. How important is it to stay in the fairway and stay in the green out here?

HAERAN RYU: Today I try to hit tee shot to hybrid -- I used hybrid and 3-wood a lot to the tee shot. Easier to keep in the fairway so I make a lot of chance for the fairway. Yeah, I'm making birdie and that's it.

Q. And then finished with three birdies in the last four holes. How nice is it to end your round like that on a good streak?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, today my goal was just finish on the 60 score, and after the nine hole my score is 3-under and then I have a lot happy, because after this year after the Black Desert my score is not good and I just try to making more 60 or something score. I wanted that, so today is really good.
