Q. All right, here with Brooke Henderson after her first round at The th Standard Portland Classic. Really solid round today; top of the leaderboard. What felt good out there for you?

BROOKE HENDERSON: It was a really awesome start, four birdies in a row. I mean, that's an ideal start any week, especially here. I love coming back to this place. I do have a lot of the great memories. A lot of good things happened to me here.

So just tried to keep it rolling after that great start and was able to capitalize with three birdies on the back nine to get a little bit closer to the top of the leaderboard.

Q. What do you remember most about those back-to-back year wins? When you come out here, are there any memories that come top of mind?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, this was my first win ever out here on Tour and got my membership as well, so it was really just a dream come true within a couple days of each other.

Q. You touched on your start. I was actually in the booth; Nancy was calling. Nancy Lopez was calling some of it and just talking about your energy. What was going through your head, especially with those four birdies?

BROOKE HENDERSON: I'm a huge fan of Nancy and I talked to her earlier this week. She gave me some great advices, so feel like maybe that gave me a little bit of a boost in the right direction.

But, yeah, you know, just a couple par-5s. No. 10 was a par-5, No. 12 is a par-5, so I was just trying to capitalize on those and the other two were a bit after bonus.

Q. We talked a little bit on the way up here, the course is looking really great. Some of those tee shots can be intimidating with the tree lining. How do you approach some of those holes with how visually it looks?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, for sure it's really important to hit a bunch of fairways this week. You want to be hitting it really straight. I think I only missed two fairways today so that was good. Hopefully hit them all tomorrow.
