The Olympic Club

Quick Quotes

Q. 2 and 1 win, you're up by 4 on the front nine. Just kind of what went right today?

BEN JAMES: I hit it really nice. My distance control was much better than the rest of the days, gave a few away. Yeah, my distance control was really good and my irons. I just made a lot of pars and hit some fairways, which was good.

Q. It seemed like yesterday you kind of had it going. It was the back nine of the course, but your front nine, was it an eagle on 17? Was there something that you found out yesterday that was like -- in your swing or anything yesterday that kind of built you into today for a nice comfortable one?

BEN JAMES: I made a big putt on my last hole to get into match play, birdied the last hole to avoid that playoff, fought really hard. Just kind of grinded, didn't do anything too fancy, but just kind of had a lot of heart. So that was cool to see.

Q. Does your perspective or anything, or does your game plan shift for tomorrow?

BEN JAMES: No, I treat everything just like stroke play. If I just shoot 4-under every time, then can't be mad.
