Quick Quotes
Q. You started out hot today when it mattered the most. How do you feel about that start and where you stand now?
J.T. POSTON: Yeah, obviously happy with the start. That was kind of what I had envisioned coming out today with such an important day.
The back nine I couldn't quite get the looks, and when I did, I didn't take advantage of them and make the putts that I did on the front.
Now we've got to sweat it out a little bit, I think, as these leaders finish up the back nine.
Q. You're 48 now. Do you stay at the course, go to the hotel?
J.T. POSTON: I've got to go pack up either way, whether I'm heading to Baltimore or heading home tonight, so I'm going to go back and do that. I'll keep an eye on the leaderboard, obviously, but we'll see, I guess.
Q. What are your thoughts riding this bubble line?
J.T. POSTON: It's a grind. It felt like -- I'm obviously not in contention to win a golf tournament out there, but it just felt like the same type of nerves. You just know what's at stake getting into that top 50 and what that does for your year next year, and you're one good week from making it to East Lake.
It's a big deal making it to the BMW, so hopefully it holds up. But it's a stressful day for sure.
Q. When you mentioned the nerves, when do those nerves begin? Is it the beginning of the week or the day?
J.T. POSTON: I was on the bubble pretty much all week. I was 51 coming into the week and in a position where I knew I needed to play well in order to get through.
It's kind of on your mind all week, but you also know that you go take care of business and I don't need anything crazy. I wasn't so far away from the number that I needed to play lights out. I knew just playing my game and playing solid could give me the chance.
Q. What are the emotions coming down the stretch just knowing what's at stake?
J.T. POSTON: Yeah, again, it's like trying to win a golf tournament. You're fighting for those spots and you know what's at stake. I would say it feels very much like trying to win.
