TV Quick Quotes

Q. Bryson, really solid round today, especially with these conditions. I want to talk about the individual title race. I know it's a tall order to catch Joaco, but right now he is 4-over par and tied for 47th. I want to hear your reactions to that and your thoughts and mindset going into this weekend knowing that.

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Yeah, Joaco has played pretty bad golf before in the first round and come back and almost won tournaments. He's incredible out here. I think he'll do fine the next couple days.

For me, I'm just going to focus on playing the best golf I can. I think I'm three shots back or something and going to continue to work hard to keep that ball in play and make some good putts when I need to. If I win this week, I'm one step closer to getting that title. But I want to win for the Crushers as well and see where our team stacks up.

Q. Speaking of keeping the ball in play, you put a new golf ball in this week. What are your assessments of it, and is that going to stay in the bag?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Yeah, it shot 3-under today. It was definitely interesting. It flew straighter, and then there was sometimes I tried to turn it over, and I just turned it over too much. But definitely some things to work out, but it's a golf ball that flies a lot straighter with my wedges for sure, which is really nice.
