Q. You fought back well the second set. Can you walk us through the last couple games in the breaker?

ANDREY RUBLEV: I don't have much to say. Here the game is very simple, it's only serve and the guy who just put more returns, because with these conditions there is not much tennis. Taylor served unbelievable and have good return.

In the end, in the second set I played one bad game at 4-all. And the same happened to him, he played one bad game. Both of us we were, like when I was serving and he broke me, he was super focused. And then happened the same. When I broke him, he didn't play well, and I was super focused and I was able to break him. That's it.

The tiebreak was unlucky. I had three forehands to go for the shot, and I missed them, so not much to say.

Q. You played Taylor plenty in the past, where do you see his game right now?

ANDREY RUBLEV: He's one of the best players. He get great results. Wimbledon semifinal, great match against Alcaraz. Now the tournament after Wimbledon he's in semifinal.

I know he have a great level, but here it's tough to serve against. Here there is no tennis at all.

But, in general, he had unbelievable level. He have tough matches against top players, and he's beating most of the players.

Q. How do you feel about your game as you sort of push forward now?

ANDREY RUBLEV: I feel better and better. I think I'm on a good track. I'm doing better and better, just need to keep doing the same way.

Q. When you say that here's not like a lot of tennis, you mean because of conditions, is the surface too quick?

ANDREY RUBLEV: Yeah, the surface, the conditions. But it's the same condition for every player. It's also the same, yeah, for everyone. We're all in the same conditions, and that's it.

Q. You showed during the tournament you have moments where you have showcased great mental strength. How important is that moving forward?

ANDREY RUBLEV: Of course it's important. This is the next step to be a better player, so of course it's important.
