THE MODERATOR: So, Jessica, a very dominant win tonight. You played very well, especially taking into account the rain delay. Just talk us through your thoughts on the match and how you got through that.

JESSICA BOUZAS MANEIRO: Yeah, it was a tough match. I think it was the toughest in the tournament, because maybe it wasn't my day today. At the beginning I started really bad. Yeah, then we stopped for the rain, and I can just take a talk with my coach.

Yeah, I was trying to do my best out of there. Yeah, just my thought was just fight every point and to do everything that I can do it on court. It was like that, but yeah, she plays good, and she's a good player.

In the second set maybe she was better than me, for sure. Then in the third set I had to be there, and I was trying to put all my energy there, and yeah, I did.

Q. This is one of your best ever results of your career. You're into the quarterfinals of a 1000 for the first time. What do you think is working so well for you here, and what's clicked in the last few months to get these kind of results?

JESSICA BOUZAS MANEIRO: I think I'm quite relaxed out on the court. I think I'm happy. I'm trying to do things as good as I can and, yeah, working with my coach, my team. I came from vacation, so that's good for my mind, too.

So I don't know, I just feel good here, and kind of I think the people here gave me a lot of support. I just felt the love. Yeah, that gave me a lot of power to continue in this tournament.

Q. Then a couple of questions about the next round. You're going to face Vicky Mboko, who beat Coco tonight. Obviously a local favorite. Do you know much of her game? What do you know about her? How are you going to approach that match?

JESSICA BOUZAS MANEIRO: I don't know really much about her, but I just saw some matches in this tournament and, yeah, maybe in some tournaments before.

I know that she's a fighter. She's put in a lot of power in her game. Yeah, I need to be there every point.

Yeah, it's local. I know that she's going to have all the support, but I'm ready for that. I know it that when someone is local, that is, and yeah, I will try to handle it.
