Q. Elena, a really tough match out there today. Talk us through what you thought you did really well and especially how you came back after that tough first set to take the match in the end.
ELENA RYBAKINA: Yeah, it was really tough match today, and also the conditions, it was really windy. Also, my first match during the day, the other one, was a little bit later, so different conditions.
I think the start was a little bit slow, so I was struggling with the serve. In the end I was just trying to fight. I had a lot of opportunities in the first set and then even in the third one, but Dayana played really well. Especially in the end she was returning pretty good.
It was really tough battle.
Q. You've done well here in Montreal in previous years. You made the semifinals here two years ago. What is it about these courts, these fans, these conditions that you think suits your game so well?
ELENA RYBAKINA: Well, I think that the site is really nice and also the fans are always nice, so I'm really happy to be here again. Overall I think it's fast courts with the the slider balls, so it's very good for my serve, especially when it's going.
Yeah, I'm just looking forward for my next match and hopefully can recover well.
Q. With D.C. and now here you've had quite a few long matches these last past couple of weeks. Physically how are you feeling? How is the body holding up? You've got a busy few weeks ahead as well. Generally, how are you feeling?
ELENA RYBAKINA: Well, of course, a little bit getting tired of my issues, but we're managing. Overall I'm happy that I'm ready to play these long matches. I think it's a good preparation for US Open in the end of the day. It's only going (indiscernible) for me.
Q. You'll face Marta Kostyuk in the quarterfinals. Talk us through how you'll approach that, experience playing her in the past, and what you feel you have to do really well to win that.
ELENA RYBAKINA: We played a couple of times. So different surface, but it's always tough battle. There is noisy matches, that's for sure.
I will try to focus on myself. I know that she's really fighter, and she's really physically tough opponent. So yeah, I will try to do my best and hopefully can win that match.
