Q. Miyu, many, many congratulations. I'm excited to hear your thoughts. You were 24 just yesterday. Happy birthday, by the way. This is a very special birthday present for you, I know. You have dreamt about this moment since you were a little kid. How incredible does it feel to be standing here as the AIG Women's Open champion?

MIYU YAMASHITA: To win such a historic tournament in front of all these amazing fans is such an incredible feeling, and to have my family around me to have so much support from everyone here is just amazing. To be part of such a moment in history is something very, very special.

Q. Well deserved. And I know it's such an emotional moment for you as well. Your level of composure out there was truly outstanding. A difficult day, a tough test of a golf course, and a world class field. How were you able to keep so calm and composed under that pressure?

MIYU YAMASHITA: It was obviously the course is set up very difficult but also set up in brilliant conditions. The amount of people that were supporting, the amount of fans that I had around me today just really pushed me towards the victory, and this is for them as well.

Q. Finally, your family, your friends, all the fans here, everybody who made this championship possible, what final thanks would you like to say?

MIYU YAMASHITA: All the fans that came here today, everyone who watched on TV around the world, my family of course, I'd like to just thank everyone involved in this tournament. Being my first win as well is something that's very special, and to celebrate with everyone is just an amazing feeling. Thank you.
