Q. Apart from your 1st hole, enjoyable day, wasn't it?

STEPH KYRIACOU: The 1st hole was quite rough. It's not ideal when you hit your second ball OB, onto the beach. I stuck in there, showed some grit, and finished 1-under today. I'm very happy.

Q. Is it a sense of pride to take away, how hard you fought out there?

STEPH KYRIACOU: For sure. I think it would have been quite easy to throw it in and be like, oh, F this or whatever, but I got something out of my round. I got something out of my day. I'm really proud with how I showed up for the rest of the day.

Q. You had a hole-in-one a couple of days ago and then you had another one in your group. Are you actually the luckiest person in golf?

STEPH KYRIACOU: I am. We actually just watched the video, and it hit my ball, and it went in. So I'm kind of claiming it, even though Mimi is probably not going to say that.

Q. You had no idea it hit your golf ball?

STEPH KYRIACOU: No, I had no clue. We just heard everyone shot.

Q. And you worked out 16 and 17 better today after the week?

STEPH KYRIACOU: Yes, I did. I hit 16th green, which helps when you have a 5-wood in hand. I birdied 17, which is nice. I didn't birdie 18, which sucks, but I'll take the birdie on 17.

Q. How would you rate your major performance for the year?

STEPH KYRIACOU: I'd say the last two have definitely -- I've definitely played golf how I've wanted to, which is nice. I think sometimes in majors I let like it being a major add some pressure. Yeah, I think I've learned a lot in majors, which I'll take into next year. I know it's a long way away, but even to take into some tournaments in a couple weeks' time.

Q. You're probably going to be inside the top 10, and you're going to be the best Australian. With how good the Australians are, is that a real achievement each week you can do that?

STEPH KYRIACOU: Yeah, it's pretty good. There's nothing wrong with friendly competition, but I haven't got the win just yet. So when I do that, I'll be a little bit more arrogant, I think.
