Q. Nice comeback.
ALEXA PANO: Thank you.
Q. Great start you had. Where did the difficulties begin on the front nine?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, the conditions were really brutal today and I kind of knew that going in. Even worse than I expected.
I mean, obviously I didn't have as good of a golf game as yesterday, but not 77 bad. It was just pretty brutal out there. Was a lot of hole you just were kind of hitting and praying, and got some bad breaks, especially on the back, so just had to roll with the punches.
Just really happy I was able to get to together.
Q. Were you aware what the cut number was?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, I think -- I was pretty aware. Like especially on 18, and on 17 when I made a birdie putt. I made a birdie putt on 17. I was like, okay, that was pretty big.
18 I tried to play up a little bit coming into the green but I laid up a little too short and then I was really stressing.
But I was pretty aware of it.
Q. Tell me about 17; how did you make a birdie?
ALEXA PANO: So I actually watched the girls in front of me hit and I was like, wow, those went really far. I was planning on hitting a 3-iron and ended up hitting a 5 and almost went in the bunkers with that. I think I had like somewhere around like 170 coming into the green.
It's so windy that I'm hitting a 9-iron and playing for 50 yards of roll-out; ended up 15 feet short. I told myself right before the only thing I could control was making that putt, and it was one of the better feelings I've had in a while watching it go in.
