AIG WOMEN'S OPEN

August 1, 2025

Grace Kim

Rest Bay, Porthcawl, Wales, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. How proud are you of that birdie to get inside the cut line?

GRACE KIM: To be honest, I didn't know the cut was at 2. I thought was easily at 3 or 4, so I wasn't very stressed, but I'm glad that putt went in.

Q. Is that as hard as this golf course can play without rain maybe?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, I think so. I definitely think rain can make it a lot more difficult. The wind was here to play today. Like all day we were having strong gusts, and, yeah, I mean, it kind of switched a little bit, but it was just like minimum two clubs of wind.

Q. What do you do now -- obviously back early tomorrow -- to get and ready to try and go low early and get back into the hunt for this thing?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, obviously we are in the UK so it's not always guaranteed you're going to have a calm morning. Obviously take that early tee time and make the most out it.

I didn't have that many birdies. Probably had a lot more bogeys today, so hopefully a lot less and a lot more birdies tomorrow.

Q. Were you aware of when Steph did on 18 this morning before you went out to make the cut as well?

GRACE KIM: No.

Q. She holed a bunker shot for eagle.

GRACE KIM: To get in?

Q. Well, on what was the cut line. Good vibes for Australians on that end, is that it?

GRACE KIM: Yeah, yeah, pretty much.

Q. We'll take that and have more of them on Sunday?

GRACE KIM: Yeah. Hopefully.
