Q. Darcey, level par after the round of 72. How do you feel about that?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, good. It was definitely an up-and-down round, it felt like. I had two doubles on the card today, which were quite stressful. But made a lot of birdies, just staying patient out there, it was quite nice. We got a few holes in there to start with no wind. Then on the back nine, it suddenly picked up so much. The stretch coming in was really difficult.
Q. Early on, there was not a breath of wind, was there? That was the time to score, was it?
DARCEY HARRY: Definitely. I think, when I was warming up, I just wanted to get out there. Yeah, there wasn't wind at all. It was really nice. We had that nine -- about nine, seven holes where there was no wind at all. So that was quite nice.
Gave you a few birdie opportunities, made the course a little bit shorter, which I think was definitely needed because that back nine is playing super difficult today, especially the wind's a bit different than yesterday.
Q. I think, if someone said to you before you started you'd make five birdies, you'd be happy with that, wouldn't you?
DARCEY HARRY: Definitely. I don't mean to be disappointed because I think the doubles came out of nowhere. It wasn't anything really terrible golf, but it just happens. It just shows you what can happen on a links course.
Q. Is there a sense of regret that you're not in a better place than you are?
DARCEY HARRY: I think it was just two bad tee shots. Then on one of the par-3s just had a really unlucky lie, which was good to get out of bunker and get it somewhere where you can just hit another shot. No, I think it's links golf, and I managed to finish off quite strong.
Q. Considering this is your second major, you certainly seem to be coping with the company you're keeping.
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it was super lovely. I played with a lovely group of girls, which was really nice. It was nice to look up to them. They've been on Tour for a while and both major winners. That was really nice. I felt really comfortable playing out there with them. They were lovely, chatting to me.
Everything's just gone really nice, and it's really nice to have made the cut.
Q. 2-under, tied 16th, as it stands. What can you hope for over the weekend?
DARCEY HARRY: Again, it's just lots of birdies and try to keep those doubles off the card. I think the weather is looking a little bit worse as the day goes on now and tomorrow and Sunday looks pretty bad. So I think it's just staying patient and just allowing for mistakes, they're going to happen out there, but just trying to get as many birdies as possible.
Q. The position you're in, are you thinking you can push yourself into contention on Sunday?
DARCEY HARRY: I'm quite far back from contention, but I'm definitely -- I think top 10 is definitely good golf this week.
Q. Which would be a fantastic achievement?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, that would be great. That would be a dream, and I just want to play the best I can.
Q. Is there any chance that, as a member of the club, you can enjoy your round a little bit more because you're so familiar with it and this is the place where you've got fans behind you? Can you enjoy it a little bit more based on that?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, I think I keep forgetting that this is actually my home course and I've played it before. I have to keep reminding myself I know the course, so I don't know why I'm stressing. Yeah, and just enjoy the atmosphere.
I think the first two days are usually the most nerve-racking because you want to make the cut. Anything can happen on this course. You can get in trouble, big trouble any time. I definitely think today was quite a stressful day for everyone because the cut's on the line. Now just tomorrow reset and play again for the next few days.
