Q. Let's talk about the round today. What went well for you?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: First of all, there was no breeze this morning, so it was quite generous. I thought I hit the ball fairly well, gave myself some chances, made some more putts than yesterday. I made a couple nice longer ones, hit a really nice shot into 9, so got an eagle there.
To be fair, I actually felt like I left a few out there, but overall very steady. The wind picked up probably when we were on 13. So it got a little trickier. But it was very steady, very nice.
Q. Were you familiar with the golf course? Have you been here before?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: No, I've never been here before.
Q. What are your thoughts on that?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: When I got here, I said to myself it might not be so much of a driver golf course. I take all of that back. I was thinking it was going to be more of a second shot kind of a golf course, but I take it all back.
You have to keep it in play. If you're staying on the fairway, it's a lot easier to get control over the ball, and you have to putt well. The greens are a bit tricky. Megan and I were just talking about that, sometimes they break, sometimes they don't. It's links golf. You really have to strike the ball well in links golf, especially if it starts blowing.
It's good. It's good. It's fun. It's challenging. I don't know how somebody's 11-under, that's a different story.
Q. Being in the mix again in a major, your mindset for the weekend?
MADELENE SAGSTROM: I'm going to go have some lunch now and then just going to go work a little bit on everything. I think that we're probably expecting a little bit more wind over the weekend, maybe a bit of weather. It is one shot at a time out there. Trying to stay creative, trying to stay free, and just really for me it's kind of paint a good picture of what shot I'm trying to hit and then commit to that.
