Q. Delighted with that?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, really good start. Very, very happy. Didn't think I would come off with 2-under par today. Not too sure why. I think I was just super nervous. It was great out there. I think we had all types of weather today, that's for sure.
Q. You went out the weather wasn't too bad. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it was a tricky start that's for sure. I do think the front nine played a lot easier than the back nine today. The last few holes on the back nine are quite tricky, especially into wind and they're long.
Q. How windy was it on the course given how much you've played here?
DARCEY HARRY: Actually it's -- this is the normal wind strength. It got up, got down. It was a bit of a mix.
Q. What about the support?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it was great. It was lovely to see so many people out and so many Welsh flags out. It was so lovely to see so many happy faces come to watch.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, now it's a bit of a sigh of relief. We got a lot of work to do now tomorrow. Definitely think it's nice that first round is over and it was a good score.
Q. Another good day with your caddie?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it was really good. He helped me lots out there. Kept me smiling and distracted, so it was perfect.
Q. What's the plan for tomorrow? Off early.
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, off early tomorrow. Just go home and sleep and get back out here by early.
Q. Not too far off the lead. What do you think -- obviously want to make the cut. What do you think about the weekend?
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, I think I just want to play the best golf I can play and see if I can get another under-par round under my belt and just keep ticking away at it.
There lots of tricky holes out there that can catch you out, so trying to make pars and birdies, that's all I'm trying to do.
Q. Georgia said how impressed she was. She thought you would be really, really nervous. How did you cope with it?
DARCEY HARRY: I was really nervous. I'm not too sure really how I coped with it. I just tried not to look elsewhere and just keep concentrated on the golf ball and my caddie.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, helped with the wind because it's kind of getting up then going down. There is a few holes that are playing a little bit easier and some are playing a lot harder. You need a lot of discussion on this course with clubs and where you want to land it.
Q. Looking at the scores, did you think it would be about this? Georgia thought they might not be so low.
DARCEY HARRY: The scores out there didn't really change. You saw the leader and there was no one really lower than that. I think like the scores are probably, yeah, about what we predicted.
Q. Any Welsh comments out there?
DARCEY HARRY: No, nothing funny yet.
Q. You cope with the change, (indiscernible.) Making this a very long difficult question. Sorry. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: So I actually prefer it because it's quite nice knowing the 17th is the 18th, so when you're coming up the 17th you're literally done.
So I think that's one thing. I do think the first hole this week is a really tricky finishing hole, so it's quite nice to finish on a par-5. It's a fairly reachable par-5, so feels kind of stressful. Stress-free for the last finish was quite nice.
But the holes before were quite a tough finish. Usually they're playing par-5 women's, but this week they're par-4s, so that's been a big change. However, hasn't actually been that bad playing those as par-4s.
Q. (Regarding how quick the wheels can come off.)
DARCEY HARRY: I think with golf everyone that plays knows it can happen at any time, the wheels can come. Even on 18 it can come off on the green.
Yeah, it's tough. I think that's what makes the game so interesting, especially links golf. I think anything can happen on any of the holes because they're are all very tricky and played very different.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: What did I play?
Q. Club.
DARCEY HARRY: I hit a hybrid into it today, 4-hybrid. Not too sure. I think it was might have been 180-something. Can't really remember. Hit so many shots out there today.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, I think it's a real special time, especially for Welsh women's sport. I mean, I do hope now it's kind of given lots of different sports to kind of go out and host some more events in Wales. We've certainly got great courses for golf here, so it's been really nice to see lots of girls out there as well coming out to watch, which is a major factor. We definitely need to grow women's gold and girls golf.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: I think just keep putting on events like this. Showing them it is a fun sport to come out and play. It's great. They've got loads of food vans out there and they've made it a super fun day activity for families. I think just kind of showing people it can be a super fun sport and you don't need to be so serious with it.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it's been so nice. It's been a long time running, women's sports, Wales really needed a breakthrough. I think this year and hopefully next year is going to get better and better and bigger and bigger.
