Quick Quotes
Q. Another round of 65. It looked like you're playing really, really well. How does it feel to you?
JUSTIN LEONARD: It feels comfortable, which is nice. I mean, I came over here last year and played both opens, and I played so poorly.
Actually changed some things in my swing and things like that. I think it was a bit of a wake-up call. You know, a bit of a journey as it always is when you're making some changes to get to this point.
But right now, comfortable with what I'm doing. You know, all facets of the game. Just enjoying this golf course, and it's kind of firming up a little bit, which I kind of like. You know, just brilliant weather and everything. It was a good day.
Q. You won for the first time as a senior earlier this year. How good was that for your belief and momentum going forward?
JUSTIN LEONARD: It was. I told my kids, you typically learn more in failure, and I've had plenty of that. Learned a lot of lessons. But I did learn some things through that.
I remember the last day, you know, it was kind of just scratchy, the first ten or 11 holes and I was somehow able to flip the switch and played nicely coming in, and won, I guess, easily, by -- if you looked at the scorecard, it didn't seem that easy. So I take lessons from that.
Again, though, I think I've taken more lessons in the disappointments in those things. It's nice when you do win because it kind of justifies a lot of things and a lot of sacrifices that we do to try and play this crazy game.
Q. You had the opportunity to be tomorrow to be the fifth man to win The Open and the Senior Open. How special would that be?
JUSTIN LEONARD: Very special. To be in contention is something I shoot for every week, and I think we all do. To do it in a major championship then is another thing, and then to do it at the Senior Open here at Sunningdale, it's been a special three days.
I'm not going to think too much about tomorrow. Just continue to play my game and see where I stack up at the end.
