Quick Quotes
Q. Great round today; 6-under. Can you just talk me through how you felt out there today?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah. I started out strong with two birdies on my first two holes, and then the wind kind of died down throughout the day, so capitalized on the weather.
Yeah, just hit it really well and I have only missed four greens through two days so happy with that. Hopefully I can continue trending in the right direction.
Q. Do you feel like this is a good start for obviously your first tournament here, and is it good preparation for next week?
NELLY KORDA: Well, I don't know, because apparently this is not really Scottish weather. It's pretty soft, so I've been hearing this is not the typical weather and course they usually play out here.
But overall, yeah, I mean, when you get good rounds under your belt, that's always a step in the right direction.
My main focus is this week. I'm trying to finish as best as I possibly can. Hopefully I'm heading in the right direction.
Q. Like you said, it's slightly different conditions to yesterday and maybe not what you were expecting.
NELLY KORDA: Uh-huh.
Q. What's the mindset going into the next couple days?
NELLY KORDA: Just seeing how the weather is and adapting to that and picking a game plan from there on.
Q. And then lastly, how much are you looking forward to going to AIG next week and have you got any sort of comments on the course in Wales?
NELLY KORDA: I've never been to Wales. I've never been to the golf course, so excited to kind of check something new off the list.
But, you know, last major of the year. Obviously it's always exciting to play in a major, so just looking forward to a good week and hopefully we have some better weather than last year.
Q. One more. Playing with Lottie today, there was a lot of crowds following you. Is it nice to have the support out there today?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, we have been lucky enough to play in front of amazing crowds so far this year, so hopefully they continue to come out because it's a lot of the fun to play in front of.
Q. Is there anything about Scottish crowds that you like playing in front of?
NELLY KORDA: I think they're just very enthusiastic. Obviously with Lottie and Charley being from close by they have kind of a home feel here and they have kind of a home crowd in a sense.
So definitely a good bit of support for them.
