Quick Quotes
Q. The importance of this from your point of view, how crucial is this kind of thing for the future of the game?
HANNAH DARLING: It's nice. Obviously kind of gives me a bit of a foundation moving forward. I think it's something that identifies an area that they can really help us and with me and Lorna being the first couple to receive it, it's nice and we can kind of start our pro life on the front foot and not worry about making enough money to play the weekend after. The Sean Connery Foundation is kind of stepping into that really well, and it's really exciting for all of us.
Q. Does it take that concern away, that aspect of the financial side of it?
HANNAH DARLING: Absolutely. That's kind of what they are there for. Played the Pro-Am with them today and that's what they said. They wanted to make sure that we were set and just go focus on playing golf rather than worry about the finance or anything, any of those kind of stressors that come with it but they have been awesome and they really get it which is cool.
Q. Something similar when Grant and Bob were transitioning, and seeing where they are now.
HANNAH DARLING: Exactly. I know it was done for a couple of females but it was more on the men's side and it's really nice that the Sean Connery Foundation have identified the women first because it really is an area that even just in golf we can improve on.
So it is really cool and they have just been awesome with putting in their finance there and just really helping us. We have got that kind of step up there which is really nice for us going forward.
Q. How does it feel being here and how is the course? How are you feeling about tomorrow?
HANNAH DARLING: First day was overwhelming, meeting everyone and learning the ropes a little bit. It's been great. Settled in. Had a couple of really good practise rounds. Played the Pro-Am today and it was all really good. Really just feeling a bit more comfortable with where I am and just really excited to go out there and play tomorrow.
Q. Nice group as well?
HANNAH DARLING: Not bad. Not that I want to at all, I'm just going to step up there and go for it. It will be a good group. It will be fun.
When I got the invite, this was perfect. It's where I wanted to start. It's been home. It's ideal for me, and down when the women's Scottish was at Archerfield, I remember going there and following Catriona Matthews for a couple holes. The last couple years have been awesome and she was captain in Curtis Cup and for me to be here now, it's like stepping into their shoes. It's really cool and a great opportunity.
