Q. Talk about how well you played in the middle of that round. It must be frustrating to score what you did in the end.
DANIEL YOUNG: Yeah, very frustrating. I battled very well to get back, and I was pushing, so I was trying to get into the red obviously coming in there. Caught in a bunker, so that's a bogey pretty much straight away, which was disappointing on 15. Then I hit a great tee shot into 16, made par.
Then the hardest part at 17 is getting a tee shot away. Hell of a tee shot and then just hit a terrible, terrible wedge shot, just probably a lapse in concentration more than anything, just being here for so long, not that that's an excuse.
Q. Six hours, it must have been tough to concentrate.
DANIEL YOUNG: Yeah, and it was pretty dark there coming in, certainly on 18 as well. Yeah, pretty disappointed, a bit deflated at the minute, to be honest.
Q. The whole experience, as you said, it was going to be a late start, et cetera. How did you find it on that first tee?
DANIEL YOUNG: Yeah, it was fine. I was honestly a bit nervous on the first tee, but got the first tee shot away. Not my best but it was fine. It's not the easiest tee shot you'll ever hit in the world. Yeah, got it away fine.
Then struggled, to be honest, the first few holes. Didn't really hit too many good shots, and then sort of hit a lovely tee shot right into the middle of the green on 5 and then that kind of gave me a bit of momentum so I've gone in the right direction and then battled on from there and played some really good stuff, as you said, in the middle part of the round, which was pleasing. I know it's there going into tomorrow.
Q. Is that the latest and darkest you've finished a round?
DANIEL YOUNG: Yeah, I think so. I don't know what to say. It was pretty -- none of us saw any of the tee shots on 18 there. Yeah, there was nobody --
Q. You just keep going, I take it everybody just has to keep playing --
DANIEL YOUNG: I think so. There was another group behind us as well. I think it's one of them where they just want your round. When it's taking six hours as well, it's pretty rough. I don't know, there was no refs talking to anybody I think about pace of play and stuff, which is probably disappointing, why it's taking six hours I guess. It's one of those things
Q. Regroup and go again tomorrow?
DANIEL YOUNG: Yeah, have to. We've got another day. Scoring obviously looks relatively good but nothing amazing. I think, yeah, like I said, got to take the positives from the middle part of the round and just hopefully get it going a bit and then finish it off a little better than I did today.
