THE MODERATOR: Liudmila, tough defeat, but you must be pleased with your overall performance at this year's Wimbledon?

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: You know, right now it's tough to understand what happened exactly. If I see all, like, through these weeks what happened, it's unbelievable. Of course, it's crazy where I arrive, no? So it's unbelievable.

But of course, right now I need to understand what I can do, what I can improve better. So right now it's not easy to speak about the good, but of course, there are a lot of good things.

THE MODERATOR: What do you think about your game that helped you get to this point of Wimbledon this year?

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: I think mentally I'm more strong right now. I can play more matches on a high level. Of course, today with Iga was the top level. I think everyone knows that she's the one who I would love to beat, honestly. In the future, maybe, but...

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: You know, for sure she's really, really solid. But I think I can improve some things on my game, honestly, because it's well right now to her. I think I can do better.

Q. Tell me how important this achievement is for you in your career, even though it's tough today.

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. I understand that it's incredible what I have achieved, but right now I cannot feel it. Like, I cannot feel it right now.

Of course, I think from tomorrow it's going to be another day, and I will be so proud of my achievement here this year. It's unbelievable.

Q. Are you proud of the way you competed today in the second set?

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: I am, of course. No, no, I am, I am. But it's something that I miss, and I need to understand what.

Q. What is it like to meet Iga on the grass? She's a clay specialist, but she's doing well on grass.

LIUDMILA SAMSONOVA: I think it's pretty similar. I mean, I have played once her on clay, I guess. Just once. But I think there is no much difference between all the surfaces. I think she's now more confident also on grass.
