Quick Quotes
Q. Okay, here with Andrea Lee after the final round of the Amundi Evian Championship. Just a solid week. Looking Luke a top 10 finish. How would you describe your play this week?
ANDREA LEE: Overall it was a great week. I played really solid golf like you said. Had a really good first round and last round. Kind of struggled a little bit second and third.
But that's golf. You have to put all four rounds together for the week. I played really solid. Nothing but positive to take away from this week.
I'm going to try and build on it and come back strong are hopefully for the British Open coming up.
Q. That's what I was going ask. What are the positive takeaways that you'll take? We talked about a lot about this last major push and clearly you did really well this year to continue the momentum.
ANDREA LEE: I mean, I've been playing really solid golf as of late. Just trying to keep that momentum and trying to instill a lot of confidence and belief in myself.
Just putting myself in the position over and over again and hopefully it'll pay off one day.
Yeah, everything feels really good. Just going to try and sharpen a little bit stuff here and there and get ready for those last two weeks this Europe.
Q. Rolled in a lot of great putts coming down the stretch there. What was working with the flat stick?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, actually yesterday I really struggled with the putter. So spent a good 30, 40 minutes on the putting green after the round.
I felt like I was stroking it a lot more solid today. I did hit a few good putts yesterday. They just weren't really falling. So I tried to just remind myself of that and just keep my head down and stay really patient out there today.
Anything could happen on this golf course, so, yeah, played really solid. So a few good things with the flat stick so hopefully it'll keep working for me.
Q. Top 5 in a major is always strong. What does this do for your confidence as Carly mentioned heading into the second half of the season?
ANDREA LEE: I'm really proud of myself. You know, another really good finish. I think I've been having a good string of Top 10s this season, which is always a positive thing.
Yeah, just trying to keep on knocking on the door and putting myself in position on the weekends and just constantly learning from these experiences. You know, I know that it'll pay off one day.
Q. What have you learned about yourself in these instances where you keep knocking at the door?
ANDREA LEE: I think I've learned that I'm really persistent but -- and also I can -- I'm pretty patient out there when I'm in these positions.
It's still a learning experience. You know, I have a lot of confidence and belief in myself I think after these few stretches and solid weeks out there this year so far.
Just, yeah, just trying to keep on going and hopefully it'll pull through one day.
